Camphor Essential Oil 10ml

Origin: The camphor tree can grow up to 35 metres and camphor is found in every part of the tree. As a native of Taiwan, China and Japan the tree can often grow as old as a thousand years. To produce the oil it must be at least 50 years old. Camphor was well known as a remedy against the plague in Persia, now Iran. It was also used in embalming. The Chinese used Camphor wood to build ships and temples because of the wood’s durable and aromatic properties. Camphor oil is extracted by steam from the chipped wood, root stumps and branches.

Camphor is frequently used as an ingredient in products formulated to soothe muscle, joint and back aches caused by a variety of conditions which cause inflammation.  It provides a cooling sensation which contributes to pain relief and easing of bruises and sprains.  It is also useful as a steam inhalation to combat the effects of coughs colds and chesty problems.

Pure undiluted essential oil.

How to Use Product:

Dilute in a carrier oil of your choice - maximum 10%.

Apply to the appropriate area of the skin as directed.

Add a few drops of water and use in a burner.

Add a few drops to bath water.
