Orange Essential Oil 10ml

Origin: The orange tree was originally a native of the Far East, particularly China and India. It was considered to be both rare and expensive and it is quite probable that the legendary golden apples in the Garden of the Hesperides were in fact, oranges. The properties of orange overlap to a great extent with those of Neroli (derived from the orange blossom) and it can be used as an antidepressant, antispasmodic and to fragrance many pharmaceutical products. The essential oil is extracted by pressure from the outer parts of the peel and often both bitter and sweet oranges are used in this process.

Uses:

Used to uplifting whilst simultaneously relaxing & calming to help reduce pulse rate. 

Can also stimulate the strength and resilience of the immune system and eliminate airborne bacteria.  

Used to combat insomnia. 

Dilute with a base oil to act as a livening agent for dull and oily complexions.

Immune System: Orange aromatherapy essential oil can be used to help combat the symptoms of cold and flu.

Skin care: Orange aromatherapy essential oil, when diluted in Evening Primrose base oil, can act as a livening agent for dull and oily complexions. Orange aromatherapy essential oil, when mixed with equal amounts of lemon and diluted, is useful to treat mouth ulcers.

Nervous system: Orange aromatherapy essential oil can be used as an alternative to Lavender to aid insomnia. Orange aromatherapy essential oil can be used very effectively to combat nervous tension and stress related conditions.

Digestive system: Orange aromatherapy essential oil can help with constipation and muscular spasm. Orange aromatherapy essential oil seems to have a normalising effect on the action of the intestines.

Mixing Oils: Orange aromatherapy essential oil blends well with Lavender, Neroli and Lemon aromatherapy essential oils. Orange aromatherapy essential oil also mixes well with Clary Sage and Myrrh. Orange aromatherapy essential oil can be used to good effect with spice oils such as Nutmeg, Cinnamon and Clove oils.

How to Use Product:

Dilute in a carrier oil of your choice - maximum 10%

Apply to the appropriate area of the skin as directed
