Peppermint Essential Oil 10ml

  • Product Code: EOP001
  • Availability: In Stock

Peppermint is a cross between watermint and spearmint and is native to Europe. Historically, the herb has been known for its medicinal uses, and its impressively long history often gives it the prestigious title as the world’s oldest medicine. You will find very few people who find peppermint unsuitable to their palate.

Peppermint is uplifting and stimulating, it is believed to increase concentration, enhance memory and boost the mood.  It has a mildly antiseptic quality which can be used to cleanse and decongest the skin.  Useful as an inhalant (in steam) it can provide relief from head colds, catarrh and bronchitis.  It clears the nasal passages and sinuses and is excellent when combined with Lavender as the oils seem complimentary.

The most popular use of essential oils remains candlelit oil burners which are still the prefered method of scenting the home. A few drops of essential oils are added to water while a candle heats the water from beneath to vaporise and disperse the fragrance into the air without a trace of smoke or ash.
