Magnesite Ball Bracelet 55 mm (8mm Ball)

The meaning of this stones name relates to its makeup, as it is a magnesium carbonate stone, and although it is often white, it may also come in other colours. The more easily obtained colour of the stone is white, although it may also be grey, pink, brown or yellow, and this depends on what other minerals may be mixed in. 

If a stone contains more iron in it, this may mean that the colour could be yellow or brown, and the Manganoan types may be coloured pink. It has a similar look to Turquoise and has been sold as White Turquoise, although this is not the same stone as the lovely Blue Turquoise stones.

Deposits of this stone have been found in quite a few locations including Austria, Italy, Poland, South Africa and Brazil, with the finest specimens coming from Brazil.
